I’ve got a whole heap of photos and tales to tell about our trip to Cornwall.  I planned to blog as we went from place to place but I didn’t count on no access with my mobile broadband.

We got back yesterday afternoon  – it was about a 4.5 hour drive.  And now I’ve finally caught up with the laundry I’ll be posting news.

It was a great trip for me.  Not only did I get to see an outstandingly beautiful part of England but I had a sort of epiphany.  Not Bridget Jones style, I might add.  No magic mushrooms involved.

The driving wasn’t over today.  I had to go to Guildford to pick up my sons from my ex.  They’d spent the week with him while we were driving around the West Country.  We’d planned to have a coffee together to show a collective front to the boys.

This was the first time in 7 years I’d been in a social setting with my ex. It really wasn’t as bad as it could have been.  But there’s bound to be some uneasiness with a divorced couple, their 2 children, a new spouse, a pregnant girlfriend and a toddler.  Strange stuff.

It’s good to be back home again.  The kids are in bed.  The car is in the drive way. Coffee is brewing. *sigh*
