Solstice at Stonehenge and Surrendering to the Universe
“Always say ‘yes’ to the present moment… Surrender to what is. Say ‘yes’ to life – and see how life starts suddenly to start working for you rather than against you.”
– Eckhart Tolle
June has been a funny, old month.
I was at an MBS fayre at the beginning of the month when I decided I didn’t want to do tarot readings for clients anymore. I was prepared to throw in the towel and concentrate on tarot only as a tool for personal growth when the next day I was asked to be a resident tarot reader in a beautiful, little beachfront shop near home.
Then another opportunity came to read tarot. Completely out of the blue, and again in a wonderful beach location, but this time on a pier!
As if the two opportunities were not enough, as I wandered around our local car boot sale yesterday, I found four tarot decks.
Yes Universe, I’m listening.
When the Universe decides it’s not done with you, what do you do?
I decided to surrender.
I have other plans that are manifesting (such as The Write Elements online writing workshop that starts today). So I will continue to shuffle my cards while I follow other passions and I’ll have faith there’s a divine plan unfolding which I am clueless about. Actually, I feel a bit like The Fool in Tarot – heading somewhere but with no idea of the destination.
The solstice has been magical this summer. On the actual solstice, I walked a labyrinth with friends but the Saturday before was a private ritual at Stonehenge.
I never thought I’d be dancing in the inner circle of Stonehenge but there I was. Obviously, it was all kinds of awesome. Best day ever!
How did you celebrate the solstice?
Oh, if you’re interested, I have a £50 discount voucher if you’d like to join me on Wednesday in learning how to write blog posts or articles soulfully. It’s a 4-week online workshop based around the elements of nature (spirit, air, fire, water, and earth) and how you can use them to write from the heart. The code is write50 – places are limited.
